Update: In the Armoury Crate, ı went to the scenario profiles Tab and set the Aura Creator to static (as ı did in the Aura Creator App itself, because ı don't want to be distracted by flashing lights to the side of my screen,) and then set clear cache to the right of it to "on." this way, ı get all of the benefits of the lighting that ı had before with apparently none of the CPU consumption. I see several ASUS programs running, but they're all at 0%, 0.6% tops.
