Java Synchronization Topics in Interviews

I am in the process of preparing for a Java Interview.

Based on anyone's past experiences of attending any Java Interview, do the interviewers ask coding problems or theoretical type of questions for synchronization in Java, as explained here?

Would appreciate any help.
