Hezarfen Ahmet Çelebi was born in Istanbul in 1609 and died in Algeria in 1640. He was very interested in flying since he was young. That's why he started researches from the age of 18.

It flew past the Bosphorus and landed in Doğancılar at Üsküdar, 3358 meters away. Hezarfen Çelebi is undoubtedly one of the most notable person in Turkish aviation history.
