We had already learning English grammer all of our education period. Even British English people don't use grammer in this century. Writing, reading, listening is improve our English but especially at business life first they want you to speak fluency, after that other things come. İ don't think accent is too important. Turkish people speak understandable than lots of country. Our problem is we are not trying to talk. A tourist is asking a place and many of people look his/her face like freezed.

Good heavens! They do care for grammar. They have Grammar Nazis with a uniform and everything. You're probably talking about people on online games. Anyways, we do learn grammar, but many do not pay attention to it most of the time. Also, grammar isn't the only thing you need. Without the lexicon you can't express yourself appropriately, nor understand other speakers. These both are an inseparable pair. Language input is needed to learn a language thats, indeed, true. We, also, lack that input.
Turkish language features no accent. It's probably why Turkish accent is somewhat comprehensible compared to some other accents. Though, having no standard accent means imitating other accents are fairly easier for you. So, why not work on an accent that you find interesting? (=
Talking in a second language is kind of a self-esteem problem. You need to be more courageous to do that. Atleast, thats what I think. One last thing to mention, It's kinda hard to understand some accents. I mean, sometimes those tourist speak in the most unintelligible accent. It's literally awkward. An Asian tourist had to repeat the word "Metro" three times in different accents before I understood them trying to utter the word "Metro". It sounded something like "Miyatr". At first I thought, they were speaking Russian (=

In my opinion, users didn't discover that section of the forum. This section isn't easy to find. I've joined forum 1 year ago, I'm trying to improve my english level like a British citizen. I learned it in social media but now, its like street english. I'm making huge grammar mistakes today. I hope this section will stay where it deserves.

We learn English grammer's we learn al ot of 'em but all of students thinks we won't use them in our social life. All of Turkish citizens or people wants to speak like British or American , but they never try to learn it , how to pronounce word. As me i want to speak like a British people but i know i have to work on it. İ know my English is not good sorry for my mistakes.

I realized this section at the moment, and I have seen some people who wants to learn English. This speech for everyone who wants to learn English or other languages. Learning a new language may be the hardest thing in the world. Well, why are we afraid of making mistakes? Making a mistake at the beginning is pretty normal, we have to make mistakes when we start to speak. As long as we make mistake, we realize what is our missing parts or however you name it. Maybe we can never speak like an American or British people. But even so, we have to struggle. You can be sure, no one knows her/his own language all of it. We don’t even know how to speak Turkish perfectly. So, never give up, and don’t be a lazy :)
