Why are new games so boring and repetitive?

Is it just me who thinks new games are sooo boring and repetitive? It’s legit like every game’s about killing someone. I don’t see anything creative other than the stories they have. Most games feel rushed and don’t have anything interesting anyway. Cyberpunk 2077 might be the only good thing this year if it manages to come out as they keep delaying it.

I think Ghost of Tsushima not boring. But as you say, most of the games are repeated.

Yet another game that’s probably about killing. It’s almost as if the only thing to do in the world is kill.

I think almost every game, just about killing and graphics. They don't care story. I think Cyberpunk comes in 2021.

Because people having fun while playing games which includes violence. These games uncovers the secret monsters lying in their mind.

If they want violence, come to Hotline Miami. Violence and Graphics are be important for some gamers. They just care these.

If they don't delayed the game, it is come on september.

Portal 2 was innovative, and it almost had no killing. It can be done, but no one gives it a try. I guess everyone goes for the money without taking any risks. That’s kinda sad if you ask me, to be honest.

Then you should try indie games.

You just defined the meaning of shooting games. I don't think games should be criticized by their types but you are kinda right, since most of the brand new games are FPS or TPS types of games.

But I see your point here. We need other types of games more than we ever needed. I really don't know why studios keep pushing us shooting games. I've got 6 games installed and 5 of them are about killing (6th game is Rocket League).
