a.oix.net is a Phorm owned domain. (see oix.net - robtex )

The way their spyware (currently) works, image requests are intercepted by your ISP and redirected to Phorm's OIX server (a.oix.net). This process allows Phorm to know what web pages you are looking at, and associate your browsing habits with their OIX ID cookie. They then use this intelligence to target you with adverts.

It is (in UK terms, not sure about Turkey but would guess the same is true) illegal interception of communications, fraud by false representation, copyright theft by unlicenced use of web site content/communication, and computer misuse by interfering with the operation of a computer without authorisation.

Well I'm Editor in Chief of Technopat and I have checked company past, their managers profiles, international news and past lawsuits about company and it doesn't smell nice... First of all, it is not spyware. It is something like a gateway. You can use their Firefox plugin, or better, change your ISP.
