Kimse seni Linux kullanmaya zorlamıyor.
1) Devletler kullanıyor. En basitinden Pardus.
2) ücretsiz olması değer verilmeden yapılmadığı anlamına gelmez. Ayrıca açık kaynaklı olması geliştirilmeye daha müsait olur.
3)Gayet stabil sürümleri var.
4)Açık kaynaklı olması başlı başına yazılım desteği bulunduğu anlamına gelir.
5) Programlama için çok uygundur. Sayısız kütüphane erişimi.
6) Linux zaten genel anlamda yazılım ile uğraşan ya da düşük sistem gereksimleriden dolayı kullanır.
7) Kullanmayı öğrenirsen gayet kolaydır.
