New features and changes

Iomega StorCenter version 3.2.3 contains the following new features:
  • Configuration Backup and Restore
The Iomega StorCenter now supports Configuration Backup and Restore, which
allows you to back up and restore system configuration information. Backing up a
configuration saves various system properties, including users, groups, device
identification, and Share names and permissions.
  • Scheduled Power
The Iomega StorCenter now supports Scheduled Power. You can create a power
schedule to turn your Iomega StorCenter on and off. Scheduled Power can be
one-time events, or recurring events. When you create a power schedule, you can
set the day and time to power down the device. You can also set power on times.
This is supported on px12-350r (ix12), px4-300r, px4-300d, and px6-300d only.
  • Wake on LAN
The Iomega StorCenter now supports Wake on LAN. Wake On LAN powers on
your Iomega StorCenter when a specific signal is sent over the network.
This is supported on px12-350r (ix12), px4-300r, px4-300d, and px6-300d only.
  • Encrypted File System
The Iomega StorCenter now features an encrypted file system. This feature allows
you to create an encrypted volume with an assigned password; thus securing the
data on the encrypted volume. Data on the encrypted volume is only accessible
when using the assigned password.
This is only available on PX devices and ix12.
  • SMART Monitor
SMART Monitor continually monitors and reports on the health of all drives in the
Iomega StorCenter system.
  • Partner Application Download
Iomega StorCenter now supports download and installation of partnered
third-party applications. These add-on applications extend the functionality and
flexibility of your StorCenter.
  • Video Surveillance Enhancements - Bosch Camera & Resolution Settings
Iomega StorCenter now features configurable resolution settings and parameters
for Bosch camera support.
  • SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol)
Iomega StorCenter devices now support SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol).
SFTP requires limited system resources, and is useful for secure transferring of
data between computers over a network. SFTP reads and writes files from/to a
remote server to an Iomega StorCenter device.
