Its presence, hard to ignore
With the hawk, war is of before

Lore of the poem I wrote is from a manga, Berserk, by Kentaro Miura. In the story of Berserk, The White Hawk Griffith finally stops the war between Kingdoms of Tudor and Midland. Griffith wields the Egg of The King, a crimson behelit, and that Egg is said to give a kingdom to the wielder, in exchange for their blood, flesh, and soul. One of the commanders of Griffith's army, Guts, encounters a legendary warrior named Zodd the Immortal. Zodd overpowers Guts without breaking a sweat and then Griffith comes to Guts' aid, yet Zodd beats Griffith and Guts consequently. After Griffith falls to his knees, Zodd sees The Crimson Behelit at Griffith's neck. He then proceeds to give out a prophecy to Guts;
"If you can be said to be a true friend of this man, then take heed... When his ambition collapses, death will pay you a visit! A death you can never escape!"
And things happen as Zodd has foreseen, Griffith's ambition fails, he gets crippled, no longer able to chase his dream. The Crimson Behelit gets activated, an eclipse happens and The Godhand, celestial beings in the universe of Berserk, is summoned. They give Griffith a choice, to sacrifice everyone under his command including his friends, in exchange for a new, Godly body, in which he can chase his dream once again. Griffith accepts and becomes "Femto", the newest member of The Godhand, in the silhouette of a black hawk, an evil hawk.
