I have both a desktop and a laptop. It really depends on the task I want to do with my machine.
The desktop is more powerful and less expansive compare to laptops. You can perform any task and use multi-software at a time on a desktop. It is more upgradeable and required less amount of money.
The laptop is more portable and good looking in design. If we talk about CPUs in a laptop, they are less powerful. i7 in a laptop is very different from the i7 of a desktop.
In my traveling, I carry my laptop. When I'm at my desk, I normally prefer my desktop. For gaming, I also like the desktop.
