Lenovo has launched new Moto Z and Moto Play smartphones in Turkey.
Motorola, now owned by Lenovo has become Moto. Which is a sub brand managed under the corporate structure of Lenovo. New Moto Z and Moto Play are first officially Moto brand phones sold in Turkey after this brand transition.
Motorola itself is an old brand in Turkey, known from feature phone times. But after the smartphone era, brand was nonexistent in the country for a long time.
Christoph Janeba from Lenovo EMEA/ Product Operations Officer was in istanbul to launch new Lenovo Moto smartphones. This presentation took place in İstanbul - Turkiye. Social media hashtags for the launch were #hellomoto and #aynıolma, meaning don't be same.
Janeba explained new features of Moto Z and Moto Play phones as well as new Moto Mods. Insta-Share projection device, a Hasselblad camera module, Incipio offGRID which is an extra battery and JBL SoundBoost. In addition to these there is a new ecosystem open to software and hardware developers to sell their own Moto Mods.
We can say it was a warm welcome in a cold winter day bu Lenovo kept us waiting a little bit too long for Moto devices. Let's see how well they do in Turkey.
