1. Introduction

This package contains BIOS update files supporting
BIOS Update in DOS & Windows environment.

2. Preparation


2a) BIOS Update - DOS

After downloading the *.zip file containing the
BIOS Update - Admin Pack you need to extract
all files of the DOS folder (\DOS) to a e.g.
FreeDOS bootable media (e.g. USB Memory Stick).

You can create a FreeDOS bootable USB Memory Stick
using one of the following links:

2b) BIOS Update - Windows

After downloading the *.zip file containing the
BIOS Update - Admin Pack you need to extract all files
of the Windows folder (\Windows) to any directory.

3. BIOS Update Procedure


Important notes:

- Make sure that an AC adapter and a charged battery
  pack is connected to your system.
- You need to have administrator privileges to run
  the BIOS update utility.
- First you need to suspend BitLocker encryption
  before updating the BIOS on a computer that has
  BitLocker enabled.

Attention:

- Do not turn off or suspend the computer until the
  BIOS update has been completed.



3a) BIOS Update - DOS

Run \DOS\DOSflash.bat to update your System BIOS
in DOS environment.


3b) BIOS Update - Windows:

Open a command prompt (cmd.exe) with administrator privileges.
Run \WINDOWS\WINflash.bat to update your System BIOS
in Windows environment.
